Øverland farm is in Bærum kommune in Akershus and is made up of 400 acres of farmland and 1 500 acres of forest. The property is situated idyllically in the neighbourhood of Bekkestua, by the entrance of Bærumsmarka.
The farm is an important asset to advance local development and participation, business development and knowledge sharing. Norges Vel and Øverland farm are a relevant partner for businesses that are caught up in the newest developments relating to food production in the future, urban agriculture and renewable energy.
We have already found an exciting tenant within food and niche production, in addition to that the farm is used for educating within cultivation and farmwork. Norways first share farm, Øverlandel, is also situated here.
The farms situation is a good starting point for big and small to take advantage of the numerous hiking options surrounding the farm. You can also go exploring in our arboretum, an area with a collection of bushes and trees.
Norges Vel has plans for further development of the farm and surrounding areas in partnership with local government, existing tenants and other interested parties.
